What we are
A small independent publisher. Not a content farm, not a venture-funded media startup. That shapes what working here is like, so it is worth saying plainly:
- Small team. Everyone's work is visible and everyone's name is on something.
- Remote. We care when the work lands, not where you were sitting.
- Slow hiring. We would rather work with someone freelance for a few months first. Most people who join permanently start that way.
What we look for
Two things, in this order.
You check things. The instinct to go find the primary source rather than repeat what three other sites said. This matters more here than credentials, because it is the entire product.
You write plainly. Short sentences, real numbers, no filler. Someone who can explain a mortgage amortisation table to a person who has never seen one is worth more to us than someone with a decade of bylines and a taste for long paragraphs.
Everything else — the subject knowledge, the SEO, the tooling — is learnable on the job. Those two are not.

Welcome, and actually read. Email Hello@daily-atlas.com with Application in the subject and include:
- What you would want to work on
- One thing you have made or written, with a link
- Roughly what you are looking for — freelance, part-time, full-time
Please do not send a generic CV with no note. It tells us nothing we can act on.
What we will not ask of you
- Writing on spec as a "test" without payment. If we ask for a paid trial piece, we pay for it.
- Producing a fixed quota of articles per day. That is how content farms work and it is why they fail.
- Publishing anything you are not willing to put your name on.
